Abusive Love

Chapter 1
I died at the hands of kidnappers.
They tortured me to death, plain and simple.
And my parents?
They were at my cousin’s engagement party with my fiancé.
Since childhood, she’d always wanted to take everything from me.
My toys, my clothes…
And finally, my parents and my fiancé.
“Mom, Dad, Ashley’s just being difficult again! She doesn’t want to let me have Jake!”
My parents believed her, and they didn’t call the cops right away.
When I opened my eyes again, I was back to the day Mom brought Ashley home.
This time, I wasn’t going to let her get away with it.
“Tiffany…”
I heard Ashley’s timid voice beside me.
Snapping back to reality, I wasn’t in that filthy pig farm, but in my own familiar home.
I looked at my dad standing next to me, Mom in front of me, and Ashley holding Mom’s hand, putting on a pathetic show.
I knew I’d been reborn.
Last time, Ashley schemed to steal everything from me, and it still wasn’t enough.
She wanted me dead.
She had her eyes on my fiancé, Jake.
My parents forced me to give him up to her.
I refused.
I’d been forced to give her everything since I was a kid.
So she hired some thugs to kidnap me out to the countryside, telling them to take care of me.
When my parents realized I was missing, Ashley convinced them I was just being dramatic, so they didn’t call the cops right away.
And that’s how I was tortured to death, every inch of my body ruined.
In the end, those kidnappers threw my body into a meat grinder to make pig feed.
I remembered that hatred.
I wasn’t going to let her get away with it this time!
“Auntie… is Tiffany not happy with me? Maybe I should go to an orphanage. I don’t want to bother you.”
I hadn’t even said a word, and Ashley was already trying to make me look bad.
I immediately put on a shocked expression, exaggerating my tone.
“Ashley, don’t be silly! I just think you’re so pretty, I’m speechless with happiness! How can you say that?”
To show how much I liked Ashley, I rushed forward and hugged her tight, and when my parents weren’t looking, I pinched her waist hard a few times.
“Ouch…”
Ashley was about to cry out, but I put my hands on her cheeks, pinching them so she couldn’t talk.
“Don’t call them ‘Auntie’ and ‘Uncle’ anymore. Call them ‘Mom’ and ‘Dad’, like me, okay?”
It wouldn’t be long before my parents told Ashley to call them Mom and Dad anyway.
I might as well be the first to suggest it.
Sure enough, my parents were pleased when I said that.
Seeing me holding Ashley tightly, they thought I was being the bigger person.
“Ashley, don’t be shy. Go on, call them Mom and Dad!”
I released her and passed the chance right to her.
Her face and waist were killing her, but under the expectant gaze of my parents, she could only force the pain down and obediently say, “Mom… Dad.”
I watched Ashley with a wry smile.
This was just an appetizer.
The real show was just beginning!
I put my arm around Ashley’s shoulder, trying to steer her inside.
Of course, I wasn’t just steering her.
I squeezed her shoulder and dug my nails in.
Ashley couldn’t take it.
She yanked her arm out of my grip.
I stopped, feigning hurt, tears welling up as I looked at my parents.
“Mom… Dad, does Ashley not like me?”
Ashley didn’t expect me to say that.
She froze, unsure of what to do.
My dad frowned and gave Ashley a look before pulling me close, reassuring me, “Ashley’s just new. She’s shy. Don’t take it to heart, sweetie!”
I nodded obediently, a tear strategically rolling down my cheek.
Seeing me cry, Dad scooped me up in his arms, glaring at Mom.
“Oh, Ashley’s just a little shy. The two of you just need to spend some time together.”
Mom smoothed things over, grabbing Ashley’s hand.
Dad didn’t seem pleased, carrying me inside.
I snuggled against Dad’s shoulder, whispering, “Is Mom mad? Dad, please don’t be angry with Mom and Ashley because of me. I’m the older sister, I’ll give in to her!”
Hearing me, my dad was protective of me.
“Don’t talk like that! You’re my daughter. I’m not going to let you suffer!”
Last time, Dad had been tricked by Ashley, so he gradually started to favor her.
But this time was different.
I remembered that on Ashley’s first day, she had slept on the couch in the study.
That night, Ashley had fallen off the couch and hurt her face.
My parents had let Ashley share a room with me.
Every morning, that little backstabber made sure to be on the floor when Mom came in, claiming that I didn’t want her to sleep in the bed.
Because of that, my parents scolded me, and the next day, they swapped out the couch in the study and bought Ashley a pretty princess bed.
I wasn’t going to let that happen again.
I offered to sleep in the study and give Ashley my room.
“Mom, Dad, Ashley’s still young. She can have my room!”
“Then where will you sleep?”
“I’ll sleep in the study.”
I went to Ashley, taking her hand and inviting her to see my room.
Ashley knew something was up, but with my parents watching, she couldn’t refuse, so she let me drag her to my room.
“Tiffany is so grown up, just like a sister!”
Mom watched us, pleased.
But Dad saw it differently.
“What do you mean, ‘like a sister’? She’s my baby girl. All our love was for her, and now there’s an outsider. She must be feeling so sad!”
Seeing Mom favoring Ashley, Dad started complaining.
“Doesn’t Ashley have her grandparents? Why aren’t they taking care of her?”
Hearing that, Mom got angry, and started arguing with Dad.
“What do you mean by that? Ashley’s so pitiful. My brother and sister-in-law died so suddenly, leaving her alone. If I don’t take care of her, who will? Are you even human?”
“You can’t let her make our daughter miserable! You’re so biased!”
Dad and Mom were arguing when we heard a crash from the room.
The next second, Ashley started crying.
Mom and Dad ran into the room.
The first thing they saw was shattered glass on the floor, and then the cut on Ashley’s face.
I stood there, looking at my parents.
Mom saw that I was fine, but Ashley was hurt.
She was sure I had hurt Ashley.
“Tiffany! How could you hurt your cousin! You cut her face! What if it scars?”
Seeing Ashley crying, Mom hugged her tightly.
“It wasn’t me. Ashley was going to break the photo frame. I tried to stop her, and she accidentally got hurt!”
I waved my hands frantically, trying to explain.
There were no cameras in the room, and no witnesses.
My parents didn’t know the truth, so they took the injured person’s side.
“If she wants to break it, let her break it. How could you hurt her face? What if it scars?”
Mom saw the cut on Ashley’s face bleeding, and quickly took her out of the room, heading for the hospital.
I tried to explain to Mom, but Dad, seeing my head, yelled, “Tiffany, you’re bleeding!”
Mom, who was about to leave with Ashley, stopped and turned to look at me.
I covered my head, saying I was fine.
“Tiffany, what happened?”
Dad saw that things weren’t simple, pulling me close.
“Don’t be scared, sweetie. Tell Dad what happened. Dad will take care of it!”
I lowered my head, covering my head, tears falling.
“Tell us what happened. Ashley, tell us, what happened?”
Ashley didn’t know what to say.
“Tiffany took the photo frame and hit herself in the head. Then she used the glass to cut my face!”
“That’s not true! Tiffany would never do that!”
Hearing Ashley, Dad didn’t believe her.
“Why would she do that?”
Ashley couldn’t say why I would do that, so she just lowered her head and cried.
Dad took that as a lie.
“She said she didn’t have a family anymore, so she wanted to break my family photo. I tried to stop her, and then…”
“And then what?”
Dad put his hand on my shoulder, giving me strength.
“She took the photo frame and hit me in the head, and then she used the glass to cut her own face…”
“That’s a lie! You’re lying!”
Ashley ran to me, pointing at me, calling me a liar.
Seeing her come at me, I stumbled backwards, tripping over a chair and falling to the ground, my hand landing on the glass.
“Tiffany!”
Dad lifted me up carefully, showing Mom my bloody hand.
“See? You only brought her home a few days ago, and so much has happened!”
“She’s a jinx. She killed her own parents. Did you bring her here to kill us too?”
On the way to the hospital, Mom kept taking Ashley’s side.
Dad just glared, not saying a word to her.
What Ashley said was true.
I had been with her in the room.
She was about to grab the doll on the table to frame me.
I grabbed the photo frame and hit myself over the head.
Ashley stood there, stunned.
I picked up a shard of glass and cut her face.
Ashley screamed in pain.
Did it hurt?
Compared to what I went through last time, it was nothing.
Those kidnappers had broken my limbs.
The more I struggled and cried, the more excited they got.
They were animals, raping my body over and over.
When they were done, I was dead.
