I Got Pregnant in the Third Year After My Fiancé Left Home

Chapter 1
My wedding day to Jason Lee was the day he ran off with his “white moonlight.”
He sent a picture of him and his mistress to my house every time he went to a new place. It was a cruel and deliberate taunt.
I was getting a manicure and enjoying some French-imported afternoon tea when I received their ninety-ninth photo.
Then, after three years of silence, Jason suddenly returned.
He pointed at my wedding photo with another man and exploded at me.
“You were messing around with some guy while I was gone!” he yelled.
I found his outburst ridiculous. “What guy? I’ve been married to my husband for three years.”
“Jason Lee, you don’t think I spent all those years waiting for you, do you?”
01
Jason glared at me. “You think I’d believe that excuse?”
“Tell me, which man you’ve been sleeping with! I’m going to make you pay!”
He yanked my arm, causing my elbow to pop and shoot a sharp pain through my arm. I winced.
My mother-in-law, hearing the commotion, came out. Seeing a stranger yanking my arm, she rushed over to help.
“Who are you? Let go of her!”
Jason, mistaking my mother-in-law for a maid due to her simple attire, shoved her to the ground.
“Get out of the way, old hag! This is between me and her.”
Seeing my mother-in-law fall, I cried out, “Mom! Are you alright?”
Jason froze at the sound of “Mom,” his anger flaring. He wouldn’t let go of my arm.
“Mom? That’s your mom? I thought you were high-class!”
“Look at your mom’s clothes! That tells me your lover isn’t worth much!”
Tears streamed down my face as he squeezed my arm, leaving a nasty bruise.
“Are you insane? You left me three years ago, abandoning me, and now you’re back?”
“Don’t forget, we didn’t even have a ceremony before you left. We weren’t officially married!”
Jason hesitated, then dragged me outside.
“Everyone knows our families arranged this marriage! You can’t just say it didn’t happen!”
“This mansion is mine! You and your boyfriend are living here, and you’re acting so brazen? I’ll show you who’s boss!”
He dragged me from the gated community to the busiest intersection before stopping.
“Chloe Chen, you hooked up with other men while I was abroad! You have no shame!”
“This mansion is mine, get out, and pay me five million dollars in rent!”
“Otherwise, I’ll ruin both you and the Chen family’s reputation!”
In the crowd, I saw a familiar figure – Jason’s “white moonlight,” Song Qingyan.
She smirked at me, her eyes filled with contempt.
I paled, offering a weak smile. Jason leaving had already humiliated me; now, his return was equally devastating.
I married Jason to save our family business, hoping it would secure funding.
But even after his departure, we received no investment and eventually went bankrupt.
The residents of this gated community were all wealthy. Hearing Jason’s accusations, they were starting to believe him.
“No wonder she never comes out. She’s been keeping a boyfriend in the mansion!”
“I thought she was rich, but she’s living off her husband’s money, what a tramp!”
02
My mother-in-law, limping, appeared, furious at Jason.
“Let go of her! When my son comes back, you’ll be sorry!”
“Chloe, don’t be afraid, Mom will protect you.”
Instead of fearing her, Jason dragged me along the ground.
“You dare threaten me, old woman? Even if the emperor himself came, you’d still be squatting in my house! Get out!”
Scraped knees and bleeding started to appear on my legs from the rough ground.
“Jason Lee, this mansion is mine! Go ask your parents what really happened!”
“I warn you, let go of me, or you’ll regret it!”
“This woman is not our maid. You better watch out who you’re messing with!”
Jason was about to speak when Song Qingyan interrupted.
She pushed through the crowd and kicked me in the chest.
“You little slut, crying and acting innocent! Are you trying to seduce the rich men here?”
“You were sleeping with another man behind Jason’s back, and now this?! You’re pathetic!”
I gasped, clutching my chest in pain.
My mother-in-law, seeing Song Qingyan attack me, shielded me.
“Chloe, are you okay? Hold on, I’ll find a way to help!”
Song Qingyan, enraged by the interference, grabbed my mother-in-law’s hair and slapped her repeatedly.
“Old hag, you think you can boss us around just because you’re here? “
“I’ll beat you both up!”
My mother-in-law, unable to stand, fell to the ground. I screamed, “Mom!”
I turned to Song Qingyan and Jason, shouting, “Take it out on me, not my mom! She’s over sixty! Have you no decency?”
This enraged Jason. He grabbed my hair, pulled out his belt, and lashed at me.
I lay on the ground, unable to move, seeing blurry figures around me.
I closed my eyes, resigned to my fate.
A man’s voice suddenly boomed, “Stop!”
Jason glanced at the bald man and sneered.
“You Chloe’s other man? So you care about her? Guess she’s good in bed, huh? Two of you like her!”
“Ladies, be warned! This woman sleeps around! Don’t let her steal your husbands!”
The wealthy women’s sympathetic gazes turned cold.
The man stepped forward, confronting Jason.
“Sir, you can’t beat a woman in public!”
Jason’s eyes darted between us, then he punched the man in the nose, jumped on him and started beating him relentlessly.
“You think I’m scared? I’ll kill you both!”
03
I woke up, seeing the Good Samaritan beaten and bruised.
“Don’t hurt innocent people! Take it out on me!”
Jason sneered, approaching me, stepping on my face.
“I won’t let you or your mother go!”
“Both of you are trash; I’ll make you pay!”
Song Qingyan and Jason started beating my mother-in-law and me. I felt my teeth loosen.
My mother-in-law, dazed by the blows, couldn’t defend herself. Her face was covered in blood.
I screamed, “Mom!”
My asthma attacked, gasping for air.
“Help…help me, get medicine!”
I felt only a crushing weight in my chest, struggling to breathe.
Jason tossed my inhaler away.
“Want medicine? Don’t act pitiful! I didn’t know you had asthma!”
Song Qingyan laughed, leaning on Jason.
“Jason, she cheated on you, why do we care if she dies?”
“If she dies, it’s because she was asking for it!”
They ripped my clothes open.
“You love being a slut, don’t you? Let’s see how you like it!”
I was barely breathing, begging Jason.
“Give…give me my medicine, I’ll die!”
“Please…if you give me my medicine, I’ll forget everything!”
Jason laughed and threw me on the ground.
“Forget everything? Don’t be ridiculous! I’ll get my revenge!”
“Get out of my house and pay me five million! Otherwise, I’ll make you pay!”
He looked at my exposed chest, swallowing hard.
“I should’ve slept with you before I left…”
“But it’s not too late…let me have some fun…”
He held the inhaler, lifted me, and carried me towards the house.
“No, don’t touch me! Please, have mercy!”
I clutched my chest, begging.
Jason’s eyes lingered on my body.
“Beg now? Too late! Keep me happy, and I’ll waive your rent!”
He forced himself on me.
I felt the unfamiliar scent, closing my eyes in despair.
A horn blared.
A limited-edition Maybach pulled into the courtyard.
A powerful man stepped out, yelling, “Stop!”
“What are you doing?”
Jason’s disdain vanished as he recognized the man.
He cringed, “Mr. Huo, what are you doing here?”
