Forgotten Vows

Can a love that has survived years of separation overcome the silence of forgotten memories? In Forgotten Vows, Lavinia Glen delivers an emotional historical romance centered on devotion, rediscovery, and the possibility of a second chance. The Duke of Dalton's life is shattered when his beloved wife disappears at sea. Years later, he discovers that she is alive, but the reunion brings an unexpected heartbreak: she has no memory of their marriage or the love they once shared. Worse still, she is preparing to marry another man. Vivienne longs to understand her forgotten past, yet the memories she cannot recover also frighten her. When the mysterious man who claims to be her husband enters her life, familiar feelings begin to surface. His voice, presence, and affection awaken emotions she cannot easily explain. However, recognizing a connection is not the same as trusting someone whose history remains a mystery. For Dalton, finding his wife is only the beginning. He must confront the painful reality that the woman he has never stopped loving may no longer remember him. Rather than relying on their former relationship, he must discover whether patience, understanding, and genuine affection can help them build a new connection. The novel explores marriage, memory loss, emotional vulnerability, personal identity, forgiveness, and the strength required to love someone through uncertainty. Ideal for readers who enjoy Regency-era historical romance, reunited married couples, amnesia storylines, protective heroes, emotional slow burns, and second-chance love stories.
