Guard Your Heart

On the tennis court, William Hagen has learned to protect his reputation as the sport’s untouchable Ice King. But after a devastating defeat in front of a hostile crowd, his carefully maintained image needs repair. His next challenge is not simply winning another match—it is learning to work alongside the one person he would rather avoid. At the prestigious Ortega Cup in Spain, William is paired in a doubles tournament with Theo Eastwood, his greatest rival. Theo is a fan favorite, celebrated for his approachable personality and Golden Boy image. Where William is guarded and intense, Theo appears to be his complete opposite. Their partnership begins with tension, competing personalities, and years of mutual avoidance. Away from the public eye, however, the two athletes spend more time together through training sessions and evenings by the pool. Their growing familiarity challenges the assumptions they have made about one another. What initially feels like an unwanted professional arrangement gradually becomes something neither man expected. Guard Your Heart combines the competitive atmosphere of professional tennis with the emotional tension of a developing romance. Readers can expect sports-centered storytelling, forced proximity, rivals-to-lovers chemistry, and a summer setting in Spain. This book is suited to readers who enjoy contemporary M/M romance, LGBTQ+ fiction, sports romance, emotionally charged rivalries, and relationships that develop as characters learn to see beyond public reputations.
